The edge of a dragonfang of Lareth was made from a fang of the gold dragon Lareth. It was serrated and curved. The weapon's hilt and pommel was made to look like a dragon and was decorated with a ruby which was put into the mouth of the ornamental dragon.
This fang was treated to become a dragonfang longsword, a type of dragoncraft item, that held the mundane power of hurting people stabbed by it with heat.
It was further enchanted to become a +3 fire sword. An additional power of this longsword was to allow the user to rapidly cast guidance on themself. This ability of the weapon was believed to function by calling upon the spirit of the former King of Justice, Lareth.

This sword has the same properties of the spell, flame blade, becoming a physical manifestation of this spell. The spell ends if the blade is sheathed or the user loses the blade by letting go or dropping it. The spell will be evoked if the blade is unsheathed or grasped again. Along with the longsword damage, this weapon deals an additional 3d6 fire damage.
The flaming blade sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
