Weapon (shortsword), rare (requires attunement)

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. 

While attuned to this sword, the user cannot become invisible by any means and any illusion spells the user attempts to cast automatically fail.

While wielding this weapon you can use a charge to cast Detect Magic as an action. For the duration of the spell, Witchslayer emits bright light for 30ft and dim light for an additional 30ft. You automatically see Faint auras around objects and creatures that bear magic, while they are in the bright light. Additionally, you see invisible creatures and objects as if they were visible while they are in the bright light.

Witchslayer has 4 charges and it regains 1d4 charges at dawn.

Witchslayer deals an additional 2d6 radiant damage to invisible creatures and if a magical illusion is hit by this weapon it is destroyed as well as any remaining illusions created by the same creature.

 

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
