The amulet has 8 charges and regains 1 charge daily at dawn. While wearing the amulet, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges to cast the spell control weather. Casting the spell this way does not require concentration, has a duration of 1 hour, and causes the wind to blow south for the duration.

You can spend additional charges to increase the duration of the spell by 1 hour per charge, to a maximum of 8 hours.

When departing an island travelling in a southerly direction, you can spend any number of charges to cause a tail wind of 6 knots for that many days.
