Weapon (glaive), artifact (requires attunement by a Creature without innate spellcasting, spellcasting or pact magic)

Forged by a dwarvish master blacksmith and infused with powerful abjuration magic, the Archmage Executioner was designed specifically for defending against and destroying spellcasters. This glaive has the following properties:

Aura of Defence. While holding the glaive, you and all creatures within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects and have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and damage from magic weapons and damage from spells. Spell attacks have disadvantage against you and all creatures with 10 feet of you.

Antimagic Weapon. You can use an action to cast the antimagic field spell, requiring no material components nor concentration. Once you cast this spell, you cannot cast it this way again until the next dawn.

Deflect Magic. You can cast counterspell at will while holding the glaive. The spell is cast at 5th level, and the Ability check bonus for this spell is +12.

Dispel Magic. You can use a bonus action to cast dispel magic on a creature, an object, or a magical effect that you touch with the tip of the glaive. If the target is an unwilling creature or an object in the possession of such a creature, you must hit the creature with a melee attack using the Archmage Executioner before you can cast the spell. The spell is cast at 5th level, and the Ability check bonus for this spell is +12.

Disrupt Magic. When you deal damage to a creature concentrating on a spell, Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration are made at disadvantage until the start of your next turn.

Drain Magic. This property affects only creatures that use spell slots. When you hit such a creature with a melee attack using the Archmage Executioner, you can use a bonus action to cause the target to make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or expend one spell slot of the highest spell level it can cast without casting a spell. If the target has already expended all its spell slots, nothing happens. Spell slots that are expended in this fashion are regained when the target finishes a long rest, as normal.

Proficiency with a Glaive allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.

Notes: Advantage: Saving Throws, Resistance: All, Creature without innate spellcasting, spellcasting or pact magic, Damage, Buff, Debuff, Combat, Warding, Heavy, Reach, Two-Handed, Graze
