Arcane Amplifier

This dark violet crystal is 4 inches in diameter and weighs about 5 pounds. While attuned to it, you can use it as a spellcasting focus for any spell. In addition, once per day when you cast a spell with a casting time of 1 action and of 5th level or lower, you can choose to cast it through the Arcane Amplifier to upcast the spell by 2, without expending a higher slot. No action is required to activate the Arcane Amplifier. For example, you can cast a 1st level spell at 3rd level, 4th at 6th level, and so on.
