Allpowder

Allpowder is a white, odorless, tasteless, fine powder of magical origin based in the school of transmution. When water is added to the Allpowder, it becomes clay-like and can be molded into any shape. When the molded substance is heated and prepared as one would cook a meal, it emulates any protein of the preparer's choice. It takes on a flavor, odor, color, and texture similar, although not quite exact, as the intended protein. It also provides slightly diminished nutrition and is treated as 3/4 rations. 

A person with a trained palate will detect a persistent unnatural flavor unique to Allpowder in any Allpowder creation; however, it remains edible and tasty to most except those accustomed to gourmet food. 

The Allpowder is mixed one-to-one with potable water, and any amount of mixed Allpowder creates four times as much of the desired protein. Any fluid other than potable water negates the magical properties of the Allpowder and will fail to transmute into a protein, remaining a gooey substance instead. Seasoning is not required. As a note, if the mixture is shaped to emulate a food item that contains a bone, claw, chitin, eyes, or the like, such as a chicken drumstick, the appearance will persist but will have the same consistency and flavor as the desired protein. Once Cooked, Allpowder creations spoil as normal food would.

Allpowder is usually found in sacks or containers of five to 50 pounds, and makes four times as much weight when mixed. It's usually found where food needs to be served to many people, such as servant staff, military outposts, or extended expeditions.

Allpowder in it's powdered form never spoils and will fail to transmute into protein if poisons are mixed in. Poisons added to cooked Allpowder creations after preparation have a 50% chance of being negated. If more than a pinch of unmixed Allpowder is ingested, it causes indigestion, bloating, and malodorous flatulence for the next 24 hours.
