A technologically advanced, single edged sword wielded by Liese.
The blade shifts to suit it's wielder's needs, it has a reach of 10ft as the blade will extend while swinging. In addition, the blade can retract, making it shorter and allowing it to be thrown out to a range of 30ft. When the blade hits it's mark, it magically reappears in it's attuned owner's hand.
The weapon has small holes along the blade which secrete a burning acid - coating the edge.
The process of attuning this weapon is difficult on the wielder, as their grip locks around the hilt of the sword and they feel a tugging on their soul leading towards the weapon. They lose 1D6 permanent hit points and become unable to wield any additional weapons as long as this sword is attuned. If the wielder attempts to use any item as a weapon aside from the Adaptive Longsword, the user spasms and drops said item.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
