This stone is the heart of Kaina the Orpheon of life, evolution and change. It weighs 2 lbs. and as you look at it, the color seems to change randomly.
It can be used as an arcane focus.
While attuned to this rod, you gain a bonus to spell attack rolls and to the saving throw DCs of your warlock spells of +2 to your warlock spells.
In addition, you can regain 1 warlock spell slot as an action while holding Arcanum. You can’t use this property again until you finish a long rest.
You can use this rod to cause a living thing to age or become younger by 1d10 years, however you must also choose another living thing nearby that receives the opposite effect. These two things must be of roughly the same type, e.g. two creatures, two plants etc. For example you can cause one person to age 1d10 year but must also choose another person to become 1d10 years younger.
This rod can be used to cast greater restoration once per day. You can also choose to end any effect or status on a creature, but if this is beyond what a greater restoration spell would normally cure, then you cannot cast greater restoration or use this feature again for 3d4 days.
At Level 12, you gain the Eldritch Invocation Beguiling Influence.
At Level 15, you may use Arcanum to cast Create Homunculus with the only components needed as a drop of blood and a living plant. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again for 4d4 days.
Upon closer study and attunement to the Arcanum, you have found the following minor uses. Arcanum has 10 charges and regains 2d6+2 charges at dawn each day.
You can transmute 2 lb of a base metal into Gold. (2 charge)
By stirring up to 1 liter of wine, with the Arcanum, you can transform it into a life elixir that prevents again in whoever partakes of it for 1 week. (2 charge)
You can transform any burning light source into an eternal light source that never burns out. (1 charge)
