This golden necklace holds a hexagon shaped amber crystal. As an action, anyone attuned to this item can speak its command word (Kiin Tae Thiramen) to teleport one of its beloved possessions or a creature with whom it shares a strong bond to a vault of amber which floats on the ethereal plane. There can be no more than one object or creature within the vault, regardless of its size and weight.
The DM will let you know whether a creature or object can be teleported in this way.
Huge or larger creatures and objects that weight more than 100 pounds cannot be transported this way. If the wearer tries to teleport such an object or creature, or if the amber crystal breaks, the vault is broken and the target will be lost in the ethereal plane until recovered through other means.
Living creatures sent inside remain alive in a petrified state, covered by amber. The user can speak the command word again to bring whatever is inside the vault back to a space no more than 5 feet away from the wearer. Whenever a creature is brought back in this way, it falls prone on the ground and is no longer petrified unless it has been inside the vault of amber for longer than 24 hours.
If any living creature stays longer than 24 hours inside the vault of amber, they are considered petrified and will return as a statue of amber. A Greater Restoration or Oil of Basilisk is able to dispel this effect and bring the creature back to it's original state.
