whenever you attack with this weapon you may use a bonus action to make a DC 10 intelligence check to find a vital spot on the target to hit. if it succeeds make a DC 12 dexterity check, and if you succeed than you instantly hit that vital spot regardless of the target's AC and kill the target instantly
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: when you fail a check to kill a creature with the assassin's blade, you can expend one charge to succeed it instead., Finesse, Light, Vex

Posted Feb 21, 2022In my defense, this was made before I had any idea what that "balance" thing was. I encourage anyone reading this to not use this item, not that any sane DM would allow it anyways.

Posted Mar 8, 2024it would be pretty good if it weren't so overpowered, if you nerfed it to deal a lot of damage but increase the ability checks to higher that might be pretty good.

Posted Aug 1, 2024You could probably balance this, I think like 3 charges, recharge 1d4-1 to a minimum of one per dawn, and instead of an insta-kill make it like 1/2 player level rounded up d6 pricing damage, also scale the DC, not sure how to now but still. IDK I've never really played yet but this is a cool concept. What do you guys think?
