The Legendary Armor of Orcus. This armor is said to be as old as life itself, perhaps even older. Armor that was once worn by the God of Death himself while in his humanoid form.
Curse: This armor attaches itself to your skin, making it impossible to doff. Also, your mind is penetrated while wearing this armor. Any God you worshipped previously is furious with you for using such an evil power. You can no longer use divine intervention-like skills or pray to your god.
Effect: While wearing this armor you become menacing to the powers of the Gods. Anything holy in nature has no effect on you, including all radiant damage. However, you may also not use anything holy. If you have an ability using holy powers, such as smite, you may use the ability still, but the effect is a deep black, necrotic effect. Any damage it once did now does an extra damage die and is purely necrotic damage. Also, while wearing this armor, a critical hit only deals normal damage against you.
Religious Effect: If you accept Orcus as your god, you gain an additional ability not listed here. Once your DM believes you have accepted Orcus, they will give you the ability.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
