This magical rapier has been forged in the SpellForge of Wave Echo Cave. Using some of the remaining magic in this area, a mysterious and invisible being copied the properties of two magical items (the Pearl of Power and the Wand of the War Mage +1) and combined them to create this wondrous weapon. The blade of the rapier is engraved with Dwarven and Infernal runes of binding which glow subtly, although they do not cast any light you can see by. This weapon will use your Charisma modifier, not your Dexterity modifier, for your melee attack and damage bonus.
In addition to using your Charisma modifier, this rapier grants you the following once attuned:
1) +1 to Spell Attacks and Spell Save DC
2) 2d6 additional fire damage on a melee hit when using this weapon. This additional damage ignores fire resistance, but not fire immunity. This additional damage is not doubled on a critical hit, but added after the critical hit damage has been calculated.
3) As an action, you can use the charge on the rapier to cast one warlock spell from your known spell list instead of using a spell slot. Once used, this cannot be used again until after a long rest.
Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Damage: Fire, Bonus: Spell Attacks, Bonus: Spell Save DC, Bonus: Magic Item Attack With Charisma, Ignore Weapon Property: Finesse, Warlock, Damage, Combat, Finesse, Vex
