"The Cartographer's Map resembles a standard scrolled map, slightly larger than a standard map. The edges are frayed, and it appears weathered and worn, yet the scroll remains indestructible."

The Cartographer's Map gives the owner an idea of where highly populated locations are and once were.  The scroll also tracks the names of all locations that the current owner has been. Adventures need to spend a short rest studying the Cartographer's Map to focus on the areas in which they have traveled, these locations appear on the map permanently with the most recent names.  Unfortunately the Cartographer's Map fails to provide the names of once populated cities or may provide the outdated names of settlements, until time is spent on updating.
