According to the lore, the god Sovereign of Law and Lore Aureon was not always all good. Followed by his kin thanks to his vast and incredible wisdom, he once decided to bound all of the evil in his persona, locking it in another shell and expelling it from godhood. Other lore says this persona appeared as a price for Aureon to gain knowledge about arcane magic. This persona became a creature known as Aureon's Shadow, or only the Shadow.
Not losing godhood, the Shadow started creating monster through magic, following his own ambitions of creating things that were his. Legends say the Shadow would be attempting to reunite with Aureon, but it also mention that the civilized world as we know it would go extinct if such a thing happened.
