The attempted user must make a contesting strength check against a hostile Death Kiss:
On a failed roll:
- The attempted user enters a pocket dimension along with the Death Kiss
On a successful roll:
- The Death Kiss escapes from the item and attacks anyone nearby the item
If no one who meets the Ranger level requirement is within 25 feet for 24 hours straight:
A random hostile beholder-kin with a challenge rating lower than 10 escapes every 60 minutes
Notes: Charges are equal to 1 + 1 per 5 total levels., 24 hours period and must have at least five levels in Ranger
