Avandri Double-Bladed Sword bow

This magic weapon grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it when it’s used to make a melee/ranged attack, and it ignores the loading property if it has it.

If you load no ammunition in the weapon, it produces its own, automatically creating one piece of magic ammunition when you make a ranged attack with it.

The double-bladed Sword bow is the signature weapon of Avandri Wood elves. A haft of fine wood supports a long, curving blade on either end. Forged with techniques honed over centuries, these blades are strong, sharp, and remarkably light, the magic that keeps the metal supple enough to be used as a longbow, also allows you to draw an arrow from the hilt which vanishes the instant after it hits or misses a target.

Each Sword bow is a masterpiece, and as a result these double-bladed weapons are expensive and cost 100 gp — few though ever have the opportunity to purchase one. An Avandri blade in the hands of a non-elf is generally assumed to have been stolen or looted from a fallen foe, and an Avandri wood elf might feel entitled to demand its return or challenge the bearer to prove they’re worthy to wield it.

Special. If you attack with a sword bow as part of a melee attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action immediately after to make a melee attack with it. This attack deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit, instead of 1d8.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
