"Ace, I'm comin' home." ~Cayde-6

This pistol was created by a world-renowned artificer for his best friend, widely considered the most talented Ranger in history, the quippy Warforged Cayde-6. Its black chrome finish glistens brightly, and it was named after both its maker and the black spade on the handle, as well as the favorite trump card of Cayde-6.

 

This weapon is treated as a +3 pistol that deals 1d8 piercing damage per shot, and holds 12 rounds of ammunition in its rotating carousel. Reloading this weapon is considered an action.

Third Eye. Whilst attuned to this weapon, you cannot be surprised and roll Initiative with advantage.

Memento Mori. When you successfully reduce an enemy to 0 hit points, on your next turn you may reload as a free action.

Firefly. When you successfully reduce an enemy to 0 hit points, their body glows brightly with celestial fire and then explodes. All hostile creatures within 5 feet of the slain enemy must make a DC17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d10 Fire damage on a failure and half as much on a success.

Proficiency with a Pistol allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
