Release the empty string, and an inanimate object nearby will fling itself in the direction you aimed.
Just make sure all your valuables are tightly secured...
This bow acts like any other but Its Weapon Damage and Ammunition are decided by the Improvised Weapon section in the player's handbook if the item is not a actual weapon. If the item that is thrown is a weapon then roll normal damage for the item as if you were hitting a target with that weapon.
- Ex : Roll to hit with the Longbow : If it launches a shortsword roll damage for a shortsword.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Posted May 11, 2020This sounds cool; and I like the variable weapon damage; but what is stopping me from having 20 mauls on my back? they do 2d6 and are comparatively cheap compared to great swords. sure it might be heavy, but when do you stop? is there a weight limit the bow can shoot?
for something like this, I would just say it does 1d10 damage of a type determined by the object. Bigger objects might move slower but it still has the same amount of total energy in it as an arrow.
swords, shurikens or anything bladed -> slashing
rocks and the like -> bludgeoning
caltrops, broken glass or pointy things -> piercing.

Posted May 11, 2020This is actually a magic item by @daily dungeoneer i just made it on dnd and beyond. I just love the randomness that could take place with this weapon, the way i use it the campaign i run is that is can only fling things medium or smaller.
