A hand held device the size of a shoe box made entirely out of wood and brass. This box seems mundane to the average person, but it has a few basic enchantments stored inside. when peered upon by a spell like detect magic two auras appear, illusion and transmutation. The box has two brass handles on the opposite sides of the box from each other, with one having a button protruding out. The box has a large lens on the front with a small hole for an eye to look through. Below the lens is a large slit that with a press of the button as a bonus action on the handle will push out a piece of parchment, holding an image of whatever the lens was pointed at. On the back of the camera is a compartment door, used to refill the camera with the supplies need for photos.
The camera uses mundane parchment and ink to produce its images. It can hold up to 10 pieces of parchment at once and 100gp worth of ink. Rarer cameras are able to take photos in colour while basic cameras can only do black and white. a basic camera uses 10gp of ink per piece of parchment while the colour cameras use 25 gp ink per parchment.
