Ambrosia is a sweet food that resembles golden crushed honeycomb, and is usually baked into little cakes. Ambrosia is exclusively consumed by the Gods of Olympus, and like Nectar, its production and harvesting are tightly controlled secrets. When eaten it is a sweet food that tastes better than any normal food, and mortals who have eaten it report it as tasting better than any fruit, cooked meal, or desert they have ever had. In any case, eating even a little immediately leads you to want more, and eating too much Ambrosia at once can be deadly for mortals. Incredibly, consistently eating small amounts of Ambrosia over a long period of time can transform a mortal, into an immortal being.
Stop Ageing. A creature that eats ambrosia will not age for a year. (Does not stack). Eating ambrosia at least once a day in small quantities over many years can permanently transform a creature into a being that does not age.
Youthfulness. A creature that eats ambrosia will temporarily look younger and fresher, for 1d6 days.
Cure Disease. A creature that eats ambrosia will instantly be cured of all diseases, and becomes resistant to all disease for a further 1d6 days.
Regeneration. A creature that eats ambrosia will heal its minor wounds, and temporarily regenerate 10 hit points per round, for 25 seconds.
Happiness. A creature that eats ambrosia will have their mental disorders such as mania, depression, OCD, etc, temporarily suppressed, and will gain an elated and joyful mood, for 5 hours.
Deadly Combustion. A creature that eats more than a ounce of ambrosia in one day must roll a d6. On a 3 or below, the creature suddenly takes 8d10 Radiant damage. On a 4 and above, that creature instantly bursts into flame and combusts into a pile of ashes, dead. Ambrosia is not intended for mortals to eat.
Ambrosia can also be used as a perfume, that made the person who wore it seem more attractive. Ambrosia is extremely rare, and almost never seen in the mortal world, let alone for sale. It has to be smuggled out of Olympus somehow.
Tranformation to Immortality:
If Ambrosia is eaten once a day for a year, it can transform a creature into an immortal being, like a god.
Golden Blood. Your blood transforms into golden ichor, the divine substance that the gods of Olympus have in their veins. The ichor enables the rest of the abilities.
Eternal Youth. You will no longer age. Additionally, your body will change to be youthful like it is its prime (usually 25 years old) permanently.
Night Vision. You will gain Darkvision of 60 ft, permanently.
Enhanced Strength. You will gain advantage on all strength checks, permanently.
Resistance to Physical Attacks. You will gain resistance to all nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage, permanently.
Water Breathing. You will gain the ability to breathe underwater, permanently.
Fire Immunity. You will gain immunity to all fire damage (including lava) permanently.
