This sleek, chrome, Triple Barrel Shotgun was made to strike fear in the hearts of men. The barrels are covered in countless tallies, signifying the men and women that have died to its unforgiving precision.

This magic weapon grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it and deals an additional 1d8 force damage to any target it hits.

This Shotgun has two triggers. The first trigger is the standard firing mode, shooting normally with a reload of 3 and a misfire of 2. The second trigger is set behind the first and pulling it activates the Shotguns alternate firing mode. This alternate firing mode requires the gun to have a full magazine. Upon activation the barrels begin to spin rapidly, increasing in speed for several seconds before unloading all 3 barrels simultaneously. When this is done make a single attack roll with a misfire score of 10. On a hit, the gun deals 6d8 piercing and 3d8 force damage, plus your Dexterity modifier to the target. On a misfire, the gun explodes and the wielder takes 3d8 force damage and is knocked prone. If the gun explodes in this way it must be repaired in a workshop with the proper materials. The Tinker's Tools check DC to repair the weapon is 18. It takes 6 hours of work and 300 credits to do so.

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
