This weapon is a favored instrument of assassination used by the blades of Verbec. It is an unassuming leather bracer which contains a steel blade hidden within. With a quick wrist motion the blade can be released catching the unfortunate victim unawares.
The bracer is worn on the users off hand. As a bonus action the wearer can activate and use the blade as per the rules for an offhand attack. The first time that the blade is activated the attack is classed as a surprise attack giving the user advantage on the hit. Any hits automatically cause critical damage as per the rules for assassinate. After the first attack with this weapon it is used in the same way as a normal dagger. It can be reset using an action. Any enemy witnessing you do this cannot be affected by the weapons surprise attack.
Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
