Scroll, rare
Iaidō is a stance that emphasizes being aware and capable of quickly drawing the sword allowing you to respond to sudden attacks. Iaidō incorporates the ability to sheathe your weapon- allowing you to use the following techniques when wielding a katana. Ki techniques will consume the ki class resource of the monk class.
Passives:
- Blade of the Wanderer. You gain Bonus Hitpoints equal to your level.
- Sheathe. Once per turn, you can use your Bonus Action to take the Sheathe action. Doing so will sheathe your sword and refresh Blade of the Wanderer.
- Quickdraw. While your sword is sheathed, you can use your reaction to parry an Attack made at a target within 5ft. of you. You must declare you want to do so when the Attack is declared and before the Attack rolls are made. Doing so will unsheathe your sword.
Sheathed Attacks(You can only use the following attacks if your sword is sheathed and doing so will unsheathe it):
- Sheathed Blade. This attack gains Advantage to it's Damage Rolls and will knock the target back 5ft. on hit.
- Sweeping Blow. This attack targets the target's legs and will knock the target prone if the attack hits and the target fails a DC Saving throw equal to 8 + your profiency modifier + your Dex or Str modifier.
Unsheathed Attacks(You can only use the following attacks if your sword is unsheathed):
- Unsheathed Blade. This attack deals an additional 2 Slashing damage.
- Thrust. This attack has 10 ft. range and deals Piercing damage, but suffers Disadvantage to it's Attack rolls if the target is within 5ft. of you.
Ki:
- Kenjutsu. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn against a target, you can spend 1 ki point to make one additional Attack against the same target as a Bonus action. This attack gains advantage to it's Damage rolls.
- Nage Ken. While your sword is sheathed, you can spend 3 ki points to unsheathe it and make a ranged attack at a target within 30 ft. of you as a Free action- dealing Piercing damage, knocking the target back and impaling it if the attack hits. You may then dash to a location within 5ft. of the target and retrieve your sword as a Bonus action- dealing damage to the target and knocking it prone if your previous attack hit.
- Zanshu Ken. When you kill a proned creature, you may choose to decapitate it and doing so will restore 1 ki point. You may only use this technique a number of times equal to your level divided by 4(rounded up) before needing to take a long rest to use it again.
