While wearing this armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC, and when a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to deal 2d4 force damage to them, as magical purple spikes pulse from the metal ones.
Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
