Aptitude

This light, birch wood staff empowers those attuned to the arcane. The lightly glowing orb on it's head is surrounded by the grasping tendrils of the wood of the staff, entwining around, holding it in place. The user can tap the staff to cause a bright light to emit from the orb, granting light in a 60 foot radius around the staff. On top of this, spells cast by those wielding the staff seem to be more damaging than they would otherwise be.

Damaging Spells cast while attuned to this staff deal additional damage equal to half of the casters Spellcasting Modifier, rounding up
