Mammona - God of wealth and power CE
Once a gifted mage, mammona was known for her wealth and power known to grace the courts of kings all across the globe she was known by all. One day Mammona learned of a Gold dragon that had significantly greater wealth than she, infuriated that another might have greater wealth than heself, she found and confronted the dragon. being a powerful mage Mammona was able to subdue it and and managed to inqire as to how it had accuired so much wealth. Upon realizing Mammonas true intentions the dragon laughed in her face. " you are consumed by greed, you seek wealth but it doesn not come naturally to the like of you. I am Crepitus the great golden dragon wealth will always find me i need only wait. Even if death should find me i would still be of more value that you ever will" . Furious Mammona slew the dragon in frustration and had its treasure hoard added to her own. after this mammona became consumed by her search for wealth and power. realizing that her days were numbered she started develing in the necromantic arts looking for ways to extend her life. after years of searching and inhumane experiments on human subjects she discovered away to extend ones life by trapping the soul of another and consuming it herself. temporatily satisfied that she refocused her energy on what that dragon had said all those years ago often going down to her vaults to look at its skeleton which she had put onto display there. this is where she came up with the idea to ressurect the gold dragon. Mammona created a set of armour in solid gold and bound it to her soul then she ressurected the dragon and trapped his soul in the armour set and cursed it so that homever wears the armour would search out wealth on her behalf and be forced to share an existence whith the tortured soul of the dragon. Those who were unlucky enough to carry out her wishes and gather her wealth were doomed to an unfortunate fate of being turned into a Crystal Golem and be forced to serve her for eternity or until killed. (in her later years Mommona made sport of these servants by pretending to set them free by ending their lives but then immediately ressurecting them to continue serving her). Mammona soon became uncontented with her semi-immortal existance. she desired true immortality, to ascend to godhood and ultimatley to surpass the power of all other gods. she planned to sacrifice a large number of crystallini and harness the power of their souls to complete a ritual of her own design that would allow her to ascend. however during the ritul she was interuppted by, to her great surprise, another golden dragon. this one much older and also female. The dragon was killed in the attack but managed to succefully prevent Mammona from finishing the ritual. Without her god status her body was unable to contain all of the souls she had taken in and in a desperate attempt to prolong her life she thrust her sould from herself and watched in horror as her mortal body disintegrated. however her folowers believe her soul s still out there waiting to be ressurected and to ascend to god hood. those who seek out wealth and greed have been said to hear her whispering to them, corrupting them.
