Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)
This two holster bandolier was acquired at the famous (called infamous by some), "Geartooth's GearWorks" in the ever elusive underground tunnels of Automata.
Automata is a gate-town in the Outlands that leads to the lawful plane of Mechanus, also known as the Infinite Gearwork. Geartooth is a rogue modron who runs an underground contraband shop where a bevy of magical and mechanically crafted wonders can be found, purchased and traded by anyone wily enough to find their way through the tunnels under Automata.
- The Quickload Bandolier has the ability to attune to specific ammunition types, such as pistol, musket, handgun and rifle ammunition, as well as sling stones/bullets or small hand crossbow bolts.
The bandolier it is not able to fit larger types of ammunition such as hand/heavy crossbow bolts or arrows. - The attuned wearer can fill its compartments with a seemingly endless number of ammunition (the surplus ammunition magically slides into a small extra dimensional space that is roughly one square foot in diameter, up to about 500 pieces of ammunition), and appears to be fully loaded at all times.
The holster itself also changes slightly in order to accommodate a larger weapon such as a riffle, or a smaller one such as a sling or a small hand crossbow. - As a bonus action, the weapon can be holstered and re-drawn, allowing the bandolier magically load ammunition onto the weapon, effectively negating the weapon's loading property.
- This item may be worn across the chest or around the waist, as it can be adjusted to fit wearers of small to medium size.
- Once per day each holster has the ability to magically create one piece of ammunition with the exploding property.
- This ammunition piece detonates upon impact, dealing an additional 1d10 force damage in a 5 foot radius.
- Only 1 exploding piece is generated at a time and it will loose the exploding property if it is removed from the bandolier for longer than 1 hour.
