When inactive it is a dull gray stone attached to length of black cord. Once it is active it appears as an onyx stone warm to the touch.
Lore-
Ankulan talisman-an ancient piece of technology from a long dead people of a past era before the cataclysm that reshaped the world. These items have the ability to link the souls of two people together and allow benefits unachievable without larger reserves of magical power.
The Ankulan talisman is given to its members after each member is fully accepted into the Society (Need to be sponsored by a member or bring incredible historic information to be fully accepted).
The ceremony that everyone gets their talisman is called Lime-yalta aka the Joining. Members are encouraged create their first bond with their mentors but it really comes down to who the person trust the most. Each person adds a small amount of blood to each other's talisman. It can be done in the field as well so long as one of the two parties are still alive. It can be ended by three ways: either through death, if both parties decide to end the union or through the Nancar-yalta or the Undoing.
- Thought Upload
Allows the wearer to safely share one days worth of thoughts with a person they delegated as their soul bearer. More days can be shared but there is a 10% chance of causing confusion upon the soul bearer that last for 1 minute. The talisman will upload a days worth of thoughts upon the death of the wearer to their delegated soul bearer.
-Transfer Swap
Allows the wearer to swap places with the soul bearer once per day. The wearer can also trigger this ability at time of death as a dead man switch. It takes 2 rounds and they appear in a safe location 30 feet from the other talisman.
The talisman will essentially swap places 30 feet from their previous location in a safe (such as not directly in melee with another being and not into any environmental dangers). The owners of each one can use the talisman to get a mental picture of their general health and what they were last up to for the last 2 rounds. This is a free action and something that you can do an unlimited number of times a day.
