Weapon (dagger), legendary (requires attunement by a Rogue or Ranger. Level 10 or higher)

The dagger upon a first glance seems as if it were just a jagged grey stone shard, at a closer look it's a dagger coated in a poison that has turned it into a vicious blade of stone, with an almost moss like appearance coated over it. The handle is shaped and wrapped in lacquered cloth that gives it a blackish-blue colour and has frayed from time. The blade is fairly thick, it is long and rough with a fine point.

A great and ancient entity that is believed to still exist created an assassin from the earth, combining stone and nature it arose from the ground and was imbued with the life of the very entity that made it. To aid its assassin, the entity created a blade from metals that lay deep with the ground from the magma that sat at the lowest of pits, what was created was a blade like no other. No metal of its kind had ever existed before. A black blade with a natural polish so sharp and jagged that it could both garrote a target and rip their flesh from them and slice effortlessly though them as if they were not more then a piece of parchment. Before they entity presented the blade to the assassin it drew out life essence from the world itself and imbued it into the blade as a final step, the dagger was trusted into the heart of the assassin. The powers from two incredible forces combined within the assassin and surged through the newly created assassins body, as the blade was pulled back it revealed a sickly orange glow emanating from the blade in sync with the assassins new power that was coursing through it. Two words were spoken as it was gifted to the assassin 'Anima Saxum'. From that point on the assassin acted as the hand and fury of the entity stopping anything at the source that wished it harm. Over time the power within the blade combined with the blood of the enemies that coated it and started turning it into stone.

The Wielder of this dagger can choose to do either slashing or piercing damage. The attack dice for this weapon are 2d4 + dexterity modifier + proficiency bonus.

Debilitating Pierce: When dealing piercing damage, attacks cause the target to make a constitution save against your Dagger level*. On a fail the target is poisoned and takes 1d4 necrotic damage for rounds equal to your proficiency bonus minus 1. This effect can stack up to 2 times.

Garroting Slash: When dealing slashing damage, attacks have a chance to cause the target to bleed. The target must succeed a constitution save against your Dagger level*. On a fail the target is considered bleeding and takes 1d4 slashing damage for rounds equal to your proficiency bonus minus 1. This affect can stack up to 2 times.

Petrifying Wound: If a target is affected by both the bleed and poison effect at the same time, they must make a constitution saving throw against your Dagger level*. On a fail the target will start petrifying over the next 3 rounds, the affected target may make a save each round as their action. While becoming petrified the targets movement is reduced by half of their current movement speed per round, on the third round the target is petrified and becomes restrained as well as gaining a vulnerability to force and bludgeoning damage. Three successful saves are required, the successes and failures do not need to be consecutive.
Attacks made against a petrified target caused by the dagger have advantage and attacks made by the dagger deal double damage.

Death Mark: On a critical hit, the target has hunter's mark cast on them for 1d6 rounds. Can not stack. Does not count as a Ranger's hunter's mark

Dagger Level = 7 + Proficiency bonus + Half your Rogue/Ranger level. If you have levels in both, half them and add them together.

Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
