Crafted by the Githyanki raiders of the Astral Sea from the tusk of a dead aboleth, Aboleth's Tusks are the weapons of choice for ilithid, warlock, and wizard hunters. Their magical nature and the iron will of the user synergize, protecting the wielder from arcane damage and offering swift retribution.
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Spell-flaying: when attacked with a spell, you may summon all your will and determination and attempt to absorb part of the spell's energy it into the blade. You can decide to use Spell-flaying prior to or after the DM states that the spell hits, but not after the DM has announced the total damage taken. Do a Wisdom saving throw against the creature's spell saving DC.
On a failed save, Aboleth's Tusk's charging is incomplete. Roll 1d6: the result is the number of charged attacks left. Until Aboleth's Tusk runs out of charges, every successful hit with Aboleth´s Tusk deal an additional 1d6 damage of the same type of element absorbed. 
On a successful save, Aboleth's Tusk absorbs 2d6 of that spell's damage, charging it. After absorption, the next hit Aboleth's Tusk makes deals and additional 2d6 damage of the same type of element absorbed. Roll 1d6: the result is the number of charged attacks left. Until Aboleth's Tusk runs out of charges, every successful hit with Aboleth´s Tusk deal an additional 1d6 damage of the same type of element absorbed. 
On a critical success (nat20), Aboleth's Tusk absorbs 3d6 of that spell's damage, supercharging it. After absorption, the next hit Aboleth's Tusk makes deals and additional 3d6 damage of the same type of element absorbed. Roll 1d6: the result is the number of charged attacks left. Until Aboleth's Tusk runs out of charges, every successful hit with Aboleth´s Tusk deal an additional 1d6 damage of the same type of element absorbed. 
Spell-flaying can be recovered with a short or long rest.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
