This axe is made of black steel darker than midnight. You can see it is engraved with white stars, but if you look closely enough, you see maggots, not stars. Once you hit a living creature maggots crawl inside of the wound and start eating away at the flesh. The only way for these maggots to be removed is through any type of fire damage or to be taken out by hand via. knife, sword, or, fingers. After 1 week of having maggots inside them, they have a disadvantage on all charisma checks and saving throws. After 1 month they have a disadvantage on all constitution saving throws and checks. After 1 year they have to make a death saving throw 3 times every day until their organs are eaten like a grilled cheese sandwich. If they fail they fall dead and cannot be healed or resurrected. If the creature is hit again by any other attack it takes 2 more damage due to its flesh being eaten.
Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
Notes: Poisoned, Damage, Combat, Heavy, Two-Handed, Cleave
