This fine grained black powdery substance is reminiscent of soot or ash in texture and color and it has no smell. This material acts as a catalyst for magical power upon being mixed with a liquid and imbibed. Once per day, a mixture of one handful of powder in a cup or water-skin will restore one first level spell slot. Attempting to use more than one handful or to use the mixture more than once per long rest will poison the imbiber and cause Disadvantage on all Constitution Checks until the after the next long rest.
Notes: DM: This powder has the hidden side effect of being addictive. If imbibed daily for 10 days or 20 times over the span of a month the user will become dependent. If dependent and the user cannot "get his/her fix", they will go into withdrawal and suffer a permanent drop in their Constitution Score of -2 until the next use of the powder. The dependency can be cured with the casting of Greater Restoration.
