This item resembles a typical brown acorn, but once per long rest, it can be used to locate the nearest dryad grove. The Acorn must be held in the palm of the hand or in some other fashion that the nut and cap are parallel to the ground. The user must speak a verbal command to trigger the item's ability:
To groves of green where rest is sought. Protection that cannot be bought.
Once the phrase is spoken, the nut itself points the direction to the closest grove. You learn the direction and distance based on the color of the acorn. The direction given is exactly like a compass - it tells you only horizontal directions, not vertical. Does not work for evil creatures or creatures with malicious intent.
Colors:
- Gold = within 5 miles
- Silver = between 5 miles and a day's journey
- Bronze = between 1 day's journey and 5 days' journey
- No color = nothing within 5 days
