Weapon (dagger), varies (requires attunement)

This item was created for parties attempting to complete the Tyranny of Dragons campaign published by Wizards of the Coast.

The dagger is made from the claw of a young dragon, polished white and deadly sharp. Its hilt is bound in the soft emerald scales of a green dragon wyrmling.

Unattuned

  • +1 to hit and damage

  • Language: Draconic (while on person)

  • The blade grows warm in the presence of strong draconic blood.

Attuned

  • To attune to the blade, the user must bathe it in strong dragon blood of a slain dragon (half-dragon is farthest from actual dragon blood allowable)

  • Damage Dice: Begins as 1d4, but becomes 1d6 when bathed in the blood of a half-dragon, 1d8 upon being bathed in the blood of an Adult Dragon, and 1d10 upon being bathed in the blood of an Ancient Dragon

  • Bonus becomes +2 upon being bathed in Adult Dragon blood and +3 upon being Bathed in Ancient Dragon blood

Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
