Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement by a Requires attunement by a Death Cleric or Necromancer who must be buried alive in a shallow grave wearing the robes for 6 hours)

A set of black leather robes made from human skin belonging to a powerful necromancer tyrant king, hollowed bones decorate the outside of the robes, when casting necromantic spells that control dead, an eerie wind seems to cause the bones to make a moaning sound, as if the souls of the dead are calling in retort.

When casting animated dead or any similar spell that causes an undead creature to fall under the user control, they may choose to conscript them to the legion which allows the wearer to maintain permanent control over up to 20 undead however, these undead cannot enter combat, however casting spells such as animate dead on members of the legion allow you to control them as normal, removing them from the legion as long as they are affected by your magic . Once per long rest you may use an action to rally the legion, allowing them to fight under your control for 10 minutes.

Additionally, the robes have 6 charges and regain 1d4+1 charges daily at midnight if you bury the robes in the ground during your rest. You may use charges of the robe to cast the following spells. False Life (3rd Level Version, 3 Charges), Animate Dead (3 Charges), Vampiric Touch (3 Charges), Danse Macabre (5 Charges), Create Undead (6 Charges) If you expend the last charge of the robe you may cast Finger of Death once, losing the ability to do so again until the robe regains all its charges and 7 days have passed. This version of the spell also targets you, and the damage you take cannot be avoided or diverted in any way. If this kills you, you rise as a zombie as normal, but are under the permanent control of the first creature you see.

CURSE: These robes are cursed, and attuning to them extends the curse to you, which cannot be removed by any means short of a greater restoration or stronger spell, doing so ends your attunement to the robes. While cursed in this way, you are regarded as undead in the case of effects that turn or destroy undead, and cannot receive magical healing unless a necromancy spell or effect grants this healing

Notes: Requires attunement by a Death Cleric or Necromancer who must be buried alive in a shallow grave wearing the robes for 6 hours
