Armor (plate), legendary (requires attunement by a Warcrest, Oathbreaker Paladin, permanently bonds)

This armor is formed from crimson chitinous plate, beneath which glowing red veins pulse and black sinews glisten. Leather hangs around the waist raggedly. Though it is alive it has no mind or voice to speak of, except to decide who is worthy. To attune to this item, you must be considered worthy by the armor before it will attach itself to you, during which tendrils from the armor will burrow into you. It is extremely painful.

While wearing this armor, you have a +1 bonus to Armor Class, and you have resistance to the following damage types: necrotic and psychic.

Symbiotic Nature. The armor can’t be removed from you while you’re attuned to it, and you can’t voluntarily end your attunement to it. A wish spell is required to remove it without the wearer's death. You are able to feel whatever it feels.

Sizing up. It can be reduced to a gauntlet or anything else of equivalent size or larger. When reduced it does not count towards your Armor Class, but you keep the +1 bonus and its resistances. It takes two actions to don this armor or to reduce it.

Warcrest. The armor signifies whoever wears it is next to the throne of Aramecia and demands respect from its citizens.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
