Weapon (shortbow), uncommon

An arrow of lycanthrope curing is a magic weapon meant to cure a born or cursed lycanthrope. Some are more focused than others; for example, there are both arrows of lycanthrope curing and arrows of werewolf curing. If a lycanthrope belonging to the type associated with an arrow of lycanthrope curing takes damage from the arrow, the creature must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or become stunned (for one minute if it is a cursed lycanthrope, or one hour if it is a born lycanthrope), then fully cured of its lycanthropy. The saving throw automatically fails if the creature wishes to be cured. On a successful save, the lycanthrope is not cured but takes an extra 4d6 piercing damage.

If the hit that cures a lycanthrope brings its HP to 0 or lower, the lycanthrope is instead reduced to 1HP before being cured.

Once an arrow of lycanthrope curing either cures or deals its extra damage to a creature, it becomes a nonmagical arrow.

Other types of magic ammunition of this kind exist, such as bolts of lycanthrope curing meant for a crossbow, though arrows are most common.

Proficiency with a Shortbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
