Grubby Boots

This boots reak of decay and are damaged by insects and rot. These boots resist all attempts to clean or repair them. A Wish spell can clean them but they lose their magical properties. Once, while attuned you may summon a Swarm of Insects (statistics in the Monster Manual) the insects are maggots and grubs, and crawl from your boots when summoned. The swarm stays for 1 hour, or until killed or dismissed. After the one hour is up, all living and dead members of the swarm return to the boots, the dead ones pulled by a magical force. The swarm will obey commands given to it when summoned, but will not accept any further comments. The swarm is not intelligent and can only comprehend simple orders. You regain the ability to summon the swarm at dawn, even if the swarm was killed, it is summoned at full health.
