While holding this shield, non-magical flames are extinguished within 30 feet of you as the shadow lashes out at the flame. The wielder may suppress this effect at will. The shield encourages you to hold no pity for those who suffer and die, for death is the natural end of life.
While holding this shield, you have a +3 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC.
While holding this shield, you have resistance to necrotic damage.
A shield is made from wood or metal and is carried in one hand. Wielding a shield increases your Armor Class by 2. You can benefit from only one shield at a time.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
