About 4 feet long and fashioned from a variety of inorganic and plant materials, these intriguing magical devices were originally created for cleaning the gardens and grounds of giants and powerful spellcasters alike, but the creative have found their use elsewhere. The leafblower has one large handle with three buttons set into it's surface. To detection magic, the arcane leafblower is enchanted with conjuration.
While holding the leafblower, a creature may hold down two buttons on the handle in succession to activate it's basic function. A 10 ft cone of particularly strong wind (about 30 mph) blows from the item's operational end. This wind had the following effects:
- It extinguishes unprotected mundane fire
- Blows away vapors effected by wind
- Creatures of large or smaller size must expend 1 extra foot of movement per foot not traveled in the direction of the wind
- The attack rolls of ranged weapon attacks that aren't firearms have disadvantage if the attack passes in or out of the wind.
As an action, a creature who is holding an operational leafblower may change the direction the operational end is pointing, so long as they are not in the wind's path. A creature of small or smaller size must use two hands to use the leafblower effectively, or be affected by the force of the winds produced.
The leafblower has three charges that return daily at dawn. As a reaction to a creature or object being in the leafblower's winds, a creature may press the third button on its handle to expend a charge. When a charge is expended, each creature within a 15ft cone of the leafblower's operational end must make a constitution saving throw (DC 13) and be pushed back to the outside of this cone, taking 1d12 bludgeoning damage as they tumble away. On a success, a creature takes 1d6 cold damage from the wind's harshness and is pushed back only 5 ft instead. Until the beginning of your next turn, the attack rolls of ranged weapons that pass through this 15 ft cone have a -2 penalty to the roll. The leafblower's other effects remain active while this effect is used.
If the last charge of the arcane leafblower is used, it becomes nonmagical until it regains them.
