Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement)
Santa's crimson velvet bag appears full of presents at all times. The bag is often seen slung over his shoulder or sitting in the back of his sleigh. The bag weighs 1 pound.
You can use an action to pull a present from the bag and throw it up to 20 feet. The present is determined by rolling a d8 and consulting Santa's list. After using an action to check the list, you can use a bonus action to check it twice and reroll the d8. The bag appears to emit a faint black or gold glow to evil (naughty) and good (nice) aligned creatures, respectively.
Once three presents have been pulled from the bag, the bag can't be used again until the user has consumed a cookie or until next dawn.

Posted Dec 17, 2022I really enjoyed the "checking it twice " bit, however i cant tell if "and consulting Santa's list" is refering to an actual object or if its just flavor text for the d8 roll. As an idea you could tweak it a bit so that re rolling the d8 requires the character to also possess "Santa's List". I think the item is pretty underwhelming, but it would be a good base to build off of. I may be overthinking things a bit but this just kinda interested me for some reason, and besides that this is D&D and i cant think of many places where "geeking out" about interesting or exciting things should be acceptable. Regardless, thank you for the enjoyment i got from this. It was neat
