The Woods of Preservation is an ancient grove hidden in the deepest of forests. Once a century, the Woods themselves are said call out for adventurers to find them. They task the adventurers with bringing them something, often an object that is new to their world. In return they gift the adventurers with wondrous artifacts. The Ancient Divider happens to be the most well known of them. The sentient staff is awaken when a brave soul speaks its name, and the tree-blood that resides in it takes shape. Its choice of form, an axe, seems ironic considering the origin of this weapon.

Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
