Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement)

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Made from the flesh of a powerful demon of the same name, this weapon has organic flesh and muscle that holds a long one sided blade. The organic features of this weapon allows it to use different maneuvers and take different shapes for greater versatility in combat. At the cost of 1 hit die, the user may use 1 maneuver listed below. Only 1 maneuver may be used per turn.

Terrifying Rend: Whether the attack itself was brutal, or a bizarre display of the weapon's prowess, when you make an attack with this weapon you may spend 1 hit die to brutally change the weapons form in a morbid display. The targeted creature must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 14) or be frightened of you for 1 minute. A creature may repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns. If the attack is a success the weapon deals an additional damage die.

Devil's Reach: The flesh of Argotz shifts the blade into a weapon more resembling a scythe than a sword. For 1 minute Argotz's reach is 10ft instead of 5ft at the cost of 1 hit die. This shift can be done as a part of an attack action. If shifted as part of an attack action, the first attack made after the weapon shifts is made at advantage. You may dismiss this form as an action or as part of an attack action at no cost.

Flesh Whip: The flesh of the weapon extends to the point of being tendrils, carrying the blade with it. At the cost of 1 hit die you can make an attack on a creature within 25ft of you. On a successful hit, that creature must make a strength saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency + Strength modifier) or be restrained by the weapon.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
