Weapon (shortsword), very rare (requires attunement)

You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Yorukana is an elegant shortsword of fine craftsmanship with a broken blade emanating a spectral shape of the remainder of the blade. Those that hold the sword occasionally hear faint chanting emanating from it.
You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. While one is attuned to Yorukana, they are unwilling to part with it, always keeping it within arm's reach. The spirit inside the blade is dormant and can be awakened by attacking a creature with the weapon, which awakens the spirit and Pacifism property of the weapon. After the fight it scalds the wielder for using it this way and if the user agrees to try to follow the teaching of the blade it allows the wielder to use the Barrier breaker feature.

Pacifism. Any attacks made with the Yorukana against creatures other than constructs automatically deals no damage, as the blade magically swings through the creature's body without any harm.

Barrier breaker. When a creature makes an attack roll with the Yorukana against constructs or inanimate objects, the attack deals an extra 2d6 damage, and the attack's damage ignores the target's resistance.

Sentience. Yorukana is a sentient neutral good weapon with an Intellegence score of 12 (+1), a Wisdom score of 16 (+3), and a Charisma score of 16 (+3). The weapon can speak, read and understand Common and can communicate telepathically with its wielder. While you are attuned to it, Yorukana understands all languages you know.
Personality. Yorukana harbours a fragment of a soul that once was an ascended warrior monk who bequeathed fighting by breaking his own weapon in half, and by doing so, imbuing it with his willpower. Yorukana is calm and collected, it abhors any damage being done to any living creature, yet can show it's power against inanimate objects. As it was a monk, it tries to guide it's user to more benevolent ways of resolving a conflict. A conflict with the wielder will occur the next day at dawn if the wielder becomes hostile towards a group or individual, when diplomacy was possible but ignored. If the current wielder tries to repair Arihant, the weapon states that it should not be done. If the wielder goes on to repair the blade, the spirit abandons the weapon and it becomes a regular shortsword.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
