You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
A cedar and blackwood body resembling an ornate heavy crossbow, but as light as a hand crossbow. There is a blue/green inlay of gemstone dust that is carved into the whole weapon in the design of a coral reef. The blue and green gem dust seems to almost move and shimmer like the waves of the ocean. It hosts a unique loading design that does not require loading, when using this weapon the wielder does not need to use a bonus action to reload. The full sized trident that loads into it allows the wielder to fire a full trident at the range of the heavy crossbow.
When the trident is fired, the weapon strikes the target and sits for about a second before disappearing and reappearing loaded back in the crossbow. The tridents movement is unaffected by difficult terrain and cannot be grappled. When a critical 20 is rolled for an attack the weapon will automatically fire again granting an extra attack and the extra attack does an extra 2 d10 water damage. When a natural 1 is rolled, the weapon will backfire and do the rolled damage to the wielder.
This weapon does not suffer any restrictions when being used underwater.
Once a day you may use this weapon to cast the Water Walk spell.
