Grasping this item and focusing on the process of blood transfusion, you may attempt to transfuse the blood/soul from one creature to another. Make a melee spell attack against the target; on a hit the target takes 1d8+ spellcasting modifier as necrotic damage. As a bonus action you may re-direct this stored energy to another creature you can see within 5 ' of you in the form of temporary hitpoints. This ability can be used once per long or short rest.
Notes: At least 1 hour of focused study and contemplation on the connection of blood and the soul; transfusion, perfusion, Hypovolemia and its effects.
