You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. At 50 points gain an additional +1 to attack and damage rolls. At 100 gain another +1 to attack and damage rolls and roll 1d6 magic damage with this magic weapon.

When you hit a dragon with this weapon, the dragon takes an extra 3d6 points of slashing damage. For the purpose of this weapon, "dragon" refers to any creature with the dragon type, including dragon turtles and wyverns.

The sword was born from the deaths of Assimar warriors and the blood and fire of a divine dragon during the war between the two races many eons ago. After the war it was a weapon that was sought after by many different races including humans, elves, and dwarves. Due to its unique birth an aura of death and duality that lingers on the blade. This is due to the deaths of the assimar but because of the holy nature of the assimar the aura of death doesn't affects its wielder. The lingering rage from the deaths of the assimar have made this blade stronger against those with the blood of a dragon in their veins. The blood of the divine dragon flows through this sword and so does its greed making it more lifelike and cursed because of it. The blade craves more power and to return to the strength it once had during the war eons ago. The blood of the assimar has tainted the dragon blood and only the blood of dragons can purify it. The will of the slain assimar want to strength to destroy the dragons and need the blood of the dragon purified from the sword.

The numerous battles fought over this weapon were vast and caused a great amount of destruction to the point were the strongest mages, clerics, druids, and sorcerers banded together and sealed off the power of the sword. The strength that remained was weak but a call can be heard from but only those who were from the first war or the descendants can hear it. Wanting nothing more with the blade the groups threw the sword away to be lost and forgotten...

The sword was found many years later and has been passed down as a family heirloom. Its history forgotten and used as a centerpiece. Waiting for one of either assimar or dragon descent to wield the blade once more...

Allowing the sword to absorb more dragon's blood destroys the will of the assimar in the blade and strengthen it with the power of fire. Bringing the sword to churches and temples to be blessed strengthens the will of the assimar and the remnants of the dragon in the sword. Each time the sword absorbs dragon blood it adds 2d6 points to a collective total (0/100). When the sword is blessed it adds 1d6 points to a collective total (0/100). Once one side reaches 50 points the sword will be locked into that specific route and can no longer absorb or be purified based on which side hits 50 first.

At 50 points of dragon blood the sword does an additional 2d4 fire damage to attacks made by this weapon. At this time the seal on the sword is broken and the curse in the sword grows stronger as the voice of the divine dragon becomes clearer and the wielder must make a wisdom saving throw every 3 days and grows stronger until the sword is unsealed at 100 points. If the saving throw is failed then the wielder loses a point in wisdom and grows more and more insane until wisdom reaches 0 and the wielder goes insane and will of the divine dragon takes over the wielder

At 50 points of purifying the sword does an additional 1 d4 holy damage and 1d4 slashing damage to dragons. At this time the seal on the sword is broken and the curse is released. However due to the purification the effects of the curse is weakened and the wisdom saving throw is needed to be done every week and weakens the more the sword is blessed until the sword reaches 100 points. If the saving throw is failed then the wielder loses a point in wisdom and grows more and more insane until wisdom reaches 0 and the wielder goes insane and will of the assimar takes over the wielder
