Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement)

A old Grimoire found in an abandoned cave. Its creator is unknown but it has been awaiting its next owner for decades.

The Grimoire is a Black book with a leather cover and silver etchings decorating the front, back and side of the book. At the center of the book is a purple crystal  surrounded by the silver etchings. The pages of the book are Silver with black trim around it. Its pages are infinite and anything written on any empty pages will disappear until it is needed again by the owner. It is locked with a strap that can only be opened by the owner, no matter the strength or intelligence level.

Attunement to this Grimoire gives +2 to Spell Attack Rolls and saving throw DCs of your spells.

Spell Storing.  Any creature can cast a spell of 1st through 5th level into the Aizanthe by touching the pages as the spell is cast. The spell has no effect, other than to be stored in the grimoire. While attuned to Aizanthe, you can cast any spell stored in it. The spell uses the slot level, spell save DC, spell attack bonus, and spellcasting ability of the original caster, but is otherwise treated as if you cast the spell. The spell cast from the grimoire is no longer stored in it. Since there is an infinite amount of everchanging pages, there is an infinite amount of space for storing spells as long as you remember what spell is in it. Scrolls may also be used as a method of storing, Any scroll placed down onto a page of the grimoire will have the same effect as using a spell on a page, but it burns the scroll in the process.

Lock. The grimoire has a special connection to magic and to its wielder, as long as you are attuned to the grimoire, no one else may read the pages within unless given permission to.

Bountiful Knowledge. While attuned to the Grimoire, if you consult the grimoire for 10 minutes, you may roll a D20 on History Ability checks for a chance a to find leftover information on the subject in the grimoire from its last owners. The higher the number, the more information is on the found page, with 10 being the minimum of finding a page with the relevant Information. Anything below 10 is a fail.

Enduring. This grimoire, along with anything written on its pages, can't be damaged by fire or immersion in water. In addition, the spellbook doesn't deteriorate with age.

Gift of the Ancients.  The Grimoire is above all else a spellbook and dedicates most of thier energy making things easier on its wielder.  When copying a spell into it, the grimoire's magical pages reduce the amount of materials needed by half and the time required is also cut in half.  Sorcerers can copy ritual spells into the grimoire at half the cost.
