Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement)
A choker necklace with a singular smooth stone pendant set in a gold circle, channels arcane prowess through your vocal cords. This necklace was built to amplify verbal (V) spells and bardic abilities. This device is an imperfect first design with very limited usage without strain on the device. Despite this, it has a number of different abilities. You must activate the item by touch (hand) to be able to use it.
- All verbal (V) spells and bardic abilities cast through the Amplifying Stone have a +1 to your spell DC.
- Similar to Thaumaturgy (1 Action), when spoken through this stone, your voice booms up to 5 times as loud, allowing you to be heard up to 500 yards away (hand must be held on item while using).
- By popping the stone with your hand, you can cast the Thunderclap Cantrip (1 Action) through this device.
3/3 Charges (completely refills on a long rest). Expend a number of charges to do the following actions (cannot combine actions):
- 1 charge: (Free Action) Can increase the range of a verbal (V) spell or bardic ability by 50%.
- 1 charge: (1 Action) Your voice echos through the air around you, seeming to come from no direct source. All creatures within a 60 foot radius of you, that can hear, hear your voice coming from all directions for the next minute (hand must be held on item while using). A creature can make a successful investigation (intelligence) check against your spell DC to find the direction of the source of the voice. (A creature that can see you will know the source of the voice is you)
- 2 charges: (1 Action) Cast Deafness (2nd Level). The stone emits a high-pitched tone that can be focused onto one creature that you can see and that can hear you. (Constitution saving throw against your spell DC or be deafened for 1 minute. Can make a saving throw again at the end of its turn.)
- 2 charges: (1 Action) Cast Shatter (2nd Level). The stone emits a high-pitched tone that can be projected and focused to a point within 60 feet, which then erupts with a sudden loud painfully intense ringing noise. (Every creature within a 10-foot radius of that point must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell DC, taking half damage, or take 3d8 thunder damage on a failed save.)
