This strange arcane armor produces four spectral spider limbs from the back of the person wearing it that the wearer can use to walk with. While wearing this armor, you gain a +2 bonus to Stealth checks, +2 AC, and you ignore difficult terrain.
If at the beginning of combat, you are on a wall or above your enemy, you can take a bonus attack and leap at your prey, this does not count against the turn order. If they are not aware of you, sneak attack damage will apply should you hit. The target can make a DEX save to only take half.
When taking a bonus action the armor will grant the following options:
- Spider Climb - Your spectral legs can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check. If using this in combat, as long as you are still in attack range, you will not incur an attack of opportunity by using this.
- Web - The wearer can cast the Web spell once per long rest. They can also enter into any webbed area without it being considered difficult terrain. This spell may also be used to create 50 feet of a 'web' rope or 100 feet of a web like string.
- Web Sense - While in contact with a web, the you know the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.
- Web Walker - You have resistance to poison and slashing damage.
- Poison Spray - This bonus action can be taken only by female characters who don the armor. You extend your hand toward a creature you can see within a 10 ft range and project a puff of noxious gas from your palm. The creature must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or take 1d10 poison damage.
Spider's Nature: As a reaction, if you are hit with a critical hit, you may flee up to 20 feet in any direction without incurring an attack of opportunity. If you are knocked unconscious, the armor's legs will automatically carry you in the opposite direction of the attacker before disappearing.
Curse. Once you don this cursed armor, after the 1st day you can't doff it unless you are targeted by the remove curse spell or similar magic. After 3 days, the armor begins to speak to you in whispers. You can now hear and speak Spider-speech.
In retribution for all the spiders give, each long rest, you must pay 1d4+6 HP that cannot be healed except by spending hit die or a level 3 healing spell such as Mass Healing Word or the like. You must take a long rest regardless of your racial or class features.
If the armor is damaged in any way, you take 5d10 damage directly to your HP.
Made of interlocking metal rings, chain mail includes a layer of quilted fabric worn underneath the mail to prevent chafing and to cushion the impact of blows. The suit includes gauntlets.
